do the loreal feria red tones work well on dark brown hair?

I have dark brown hair,
I used to have black but I have pre lightened it a couple times, now it has reddish tones to it[naturally&unaturally] I am so sick of trying hair dye after hair dye, and have little money to spend so professional is out of the question.
I'm just curious as to if anybody has tried any of the loreal feria red tones on dark brown hair and their opinions? The colors such as Midnight Ruby & Blowout Burgundy are the main ones i'm looking at.

I've had the same problem, but recently I tried it and it works just fine on dark brown hair.
