Plush Velour
Weird little grubs in bedroom slippers?
I haven't worn my bedroom slippers for over six months, and pulled them out from under the bed today. They are a plush velour fabric, and I found all these weird little grub-like insects in them. The insects look a lot like what you sometimes find in a bag of flour that's really old and hasn't been used in a long time. They are dark on each end and beige in the body. I thought perhaps they might be carpet beetle larvae, but they didn't appear to be hairy, as I've seen carpet beetle larvae should be in the Google image search I just did. (Of course, maybe I just need better glasses!) Does anyone have any ideas as to what these might be? And yes, I threw out my slippers!

They could be one of the carpet beetles. there are several different type and they don't all look the same. Pretty difficult to be sure without seeing the critters.
