Faux Fur
How to wash a faux fur jacket?
I want to buy this jacket (Have not bought it yet, so I have no instructions):

But I don't know how to wash it. The hood is detachable, and it is lined with faux fur (except the sleeves) Can I toss it in the wash? And I DO NOT have a dryer, I hang dry my clothes. Please help.

It depends on the fiber content, the fiber content of the whole jacket not just the lining.
The jacket is polyester (which is washable and doesn't shrink) but it's insulated with down. Down is natural. Water itself won't harm it (birds get wet, frequently) but machine washing can bend and break the feathers. Since it's white it will need occasional washing but in time it will probably cause the jacket to lose its "poofiness". Spot-clean it whenever possible.
You probably wouldn't have to wash the hood as frequently but you could hand-wash it easily.
I'd dry them flat in front of a fan.
